Danielle Shi is a writer and photographer living in Berkeley, California. She works with forms of the language arts to see where writing and imaging overlap. In her photography practice, she plays with roles such as the daughter or schoolgirl, and she is interested in personae and the enclosures we make to perform them for others. Her collection of notebooks has been an ongoing experiment in lucidity and awareness, as well as sharing warmth between self and other. She likes having fresh strawberries with tea.

As of this year, Danielle is revising her first novel (formerly Cat Logic), a longstanding Asian American bildungsroman, while querying her second book, the experimental memoir Arrhythmia. Last year, she published limited release runs of her chapbook Feelings/Piano 感情/琴, as well as zines Metronome and ENFANT ; a cowboy ballad. Her media aesthetics visual diary psychosest__ is a working document.
